5 - May - Get It On
Skillful hands. A talented tongue.
Meet Mr. May.
Fate’s been messing with veteran Tyree Johnson. It took his buddies in combat and his wife in a fatal car accident. But he’ll be damned if he’ll let Fate take his beloved bar, The Fix on Sixth.
For years, he’s avoided being Fate’s whipping boy through sheer force of will, and now every bit of his focus is centered on saving his business. Until, that is, the first woman who ever touched his heart walks back into his life—along with a daughter he never knew.
After years of loneliness, Tyree’s not prepared for the way Eva’s sensual curves and sharp wit still capture his heart and rekindle his senses. All he knows is that for the first time in forever, he’s found a passion other than his bar. But one final twist arrives when Fate pits the bar he can’t bear to lose against the woman who’s stolen his heart.
He’s a master at red-hot ecstasy.
**Get It On is part of a binge read series by New York Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Publishers Weekly, and #1 International bestselling author of the million copy Stark series, J. Kenner.

REVIEW

Review by: Jennifer

(4 Stars)

This is the fifth in the Man of the Month series, and we get Tyree; the person who's bar they are trying to save's story. This is another second chance story with a long lost love child on the side. When Elena walks into Tyree's bar and introduces herself as his daughter, he didnt even have to question it, as she looks almost like her mother, Eva, did at that age. What he did question is, why did he not know that he had a daughter? When Elena does some elaborate scheming to get the two of them in the same place, Tyree's feelings for Eva come to the forefront, as he never forgot her in the first place. But for Tyree the guilt he feels is crushing as he feels like he is betraying the dead wife he still mourns. Will Eva be able to get Tyree to realize that there is enough of his heart for the both of them, or is their relationship doomed again?

This was a good, fast paced story. At times I did feel like it was rushed a bit, or that we should have been able to see certain things played out, but other than that it was good. I give this 4 stars.
